What does your name mean? mine in the dictionary of names is "of god" "close to god" , what does yours mean?

Samuel = Hears God or heard of God. So I guess that means either God hears me or I hear God. Maybe that explains these voices in my head :) I think it comes from the Bible story of Samuel who hears God speak to him.
