What NAME of a dictionary do you prefer to use????

We all have our preferences....i have my own. I enjoy knowing where a word hailed from, which is NOT in a lot of dictionaries....well how about you?????

What NAME of a dictionary do you prefer to use????

This dictionary has the origins of the words and it is helpful. THis is the only dictionary I've come to like. The others are way to simple and not thorough.

Reply:Merriam-Webster is good, I don't necessarily need to know the etymology of a word. Usually it's to settle an argument at our house!

It's not big, but the price is right and it's always at one's fingertips.

Reply:Merriam Webster. It almost sounds like a real whole name. Gives more to the dictionary itself.

Reply:We own an old Webster's but now I use one on-line occasionally.

Reply:I love writing so I use Roget's Thesaurus. (I know it's not a dictionary).

Reply:Usually "Dictionary" works for me, but when I'm feeling good I like to upgrade to "Dictionary v2.0"
